One flower, 3 different looks

I've been working on a set of coordinating cards and thought I'd share with you today.  The stamps I'm using are Spellbinders Celebra'tions "Just Because" (with matching dies) and "Tape It" set, which are washi tape-like in design.

You can see each card has a distinct look, but similar format.  I just finished with the gold, so I'll tell you a bit about what I did different.

I wanted to use one color and veer more towards a masculine design, or at least be a bit more gender neutral.  The ink is also Spellbinders, Golden Glow from the Celebra'tions collection.  I used the generation stamping technique, stamping once, then re-stamping without re-inking.  I did this multiple times with the circle stamps from the Just Because set.  It has 3 different size circles.  The flower from the same set was inked and then cut with a matching die using my Cuttlebug.  I then painted with Clearsnap Goldrush Smooch Glitz.

The tag was stamped with the striped washi stamp using the Tape It set.  I then stamped the sentiment, from the Just Because set, and used my Wink of Stella clear brush over it so it would stand out more.  I think this is my favorite of the 3.

Which one do you like the best?

Father's Day Inspiration

In tribute to all those amazing dads out there, here's a little inspiration from our design team to get your crafty juices flowing.  Happy Father's Day!

Two simple cards yet so purposeful.  Both of these took me only about 30 minutes to make.  My dad loves motorcycles and traveling the states on his.  My father-in-law loves to travel in his RV.  Ok...so it's not an RV lol.  Unity doesn't have an RV stamp.  But he'll get the meaning behind it.

My father died when I was 16.. Some of my earliest memories of him are sitting on his lap while he read to me and later walking to the library with him while he held my hand. Wish I could have shared Harry Potter with him and some of the latest mysteries I have read. He passed his love of books on to me and this card is for him....
